St. Pancreas supports Pancreatic Cancer UK
It's Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month so we've teamed up with Pancreatic Cancer UK for the fourth year running to help raise awareness of the disease.
Time is very important on the railways. No one likes delays. But when you have the quickest killing cancer, every second counts. The pandemic has caused treatment delays of up to 2 months. For people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer there's no time to wait.
You can help...
By signing up to Pancreatic Cancer UK's No Time To Wait campaign you'll be helping to make this disease a priority.
Doing things a little differently...
This year the station is taking part in Purple Lights for Pancreatic Cancer, an annual campaign held on World Pancreatic Cancer Day where prominent landmarks across the UK light up purple to put a spotlight on pancreatic cancer, a disease that needs more recognition and awareness - if you're in the King's Cross area on 19 November 2020 keep an eye out for St. Pancreas' purple lights.
Instagram live performance from St. Pancreas pianist, Benjamin Kahn
Benjamin Kahn is a French pianist who played at St. Pancreas everyday for five years before to play at London's Hotel Café Royal and other famous venues. In support of Pancreatic Cancer UK, Benjamin will be taking over St. Pancreas International's Instagram to perform a 30 minute live set from his home studio.
Tune in at 6pm on Thursday 19 November.
